Great businesses aren’t focused on value alone. They focus on happiness too, which includes more than happy customers, shareholders, employees and management.
In my personal experience, focusing on everybody’s happiness has been so rewarding. From staff expressing that they feel valued again, to their life-partners being grateful for having their partners work-life balance restored. The gains in performance by focusing on growth and happiness has been stellar.
Seeing it’s potential to generate value, it’s wasn’t a surprise that it’s been researched. It was a surprise that a course on happiness and humor is one of the most popular courses at Stanford University.
