His experience started as an entrepreneur in IT consultancy and corporate recovery. In such situations procurement is the first to be addressed as it’s quick success generates free cash flow. With a full appreciation for procurement he joined Alpha Delta Performance Improvement, the premier no-cure-no-pay procurement consultancy of the Netherlands.
FrieslandCampina was next. After it’s merger it became a 14B global multinational in FMCG, CPG and Pharmaceutical Ingredients with offices in 36 countries. Oscar joined post-merger to drive cost savings. He also had to realign an IFM project, which he turned into a Global 110M IFM program. In this program he scaled from 5 to 30 simultaneous projects. Working remote globally with on-site teams and personally being on-site in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Accomplishing fully satisfied stakeholders and up to 30% cost reduction per site, he mastered this Procurement Category beyond many peers.
Enjoying this level of effect, he focused on Health Care cost. At ZorgService XL, a hospital shared service center on Procurement, Supply Chain and AP, Oscar led the IT Procurement team. This grew into the Procurement Operations and Excellence role in which (among others) he slashed work times by 75%.
